Franklin Templeton Bank & Trust

Managing all aspects of the Bank's loan portfolio, including
participation in achieving ALCO objectives, directing underwriting and
due diligence efforts, authorizing funding, and managing vendor
relationships. Manage credit department to achieve its assigned goals;
assists in establishing and enforcing loan policies and procedures to
mitigate risk to the bank; ensures that loans made by the bank conform
to regulatory requirements and handles the management of documentation
and administration of all loans to protect the bank's assets.
You will be primarily responsible for:
Maintaining credit quality and customer responsiveness consistent with
the Bank's strategic plan and mission statement Managing credit risk and
problem loan administration in the Bank's principal loan portfolios
Monitoring and ensuring loan and credit quality and minimizing
lossesFormulation of credit policy and proceduresEnsuring adherence to
federal/state laws and sound underwriting principlesDeveloping loss
reserve methodology Management reporting Developing and promoting the
Bank's credit culture Supporting the establishment and growth of the
Bank's loan portfolios Working closely with business managers and
high-net worth clients of the Bank's affiliates; assisting in product
development and structure Key management liaison between the Bank and
the Bank's affiliates for new credit products Working with ALCO to
ensure that pricing is consistent with credit risk profiles Interfacing
with the Board of Directors on matters concerning loan and compliance
Responding to and interface with Audit Committee regarding loan and
compliance reviews
We look for:
Ideal candidate will have at least 15 or more years of experience, with
at least 6 in a managerial capacity. Experience will ideally
include a combination of consumer and commercial credit, underwriting,
risk management and compliance. Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree in business, finance or a related field preferred. 5+
years managing vendor relationships. Extensive experience developing and
implementing analytically based consumer credit programs. Deep
understanding of credit risk management and scoring methodologies.
Strong underwriting and credit administration skills. Strong knowledge
of credit systems and operationsAbility to train and coach others,
including both staff and lenders and also be capable of doing analytics,
including trend evaluations and portfolio analyses. Ability to
effectively communicate potential new product designs with other
managers and executives who have limited credit experience or
background. Demonstrated experience as a successful and value-adding
member of a management team with excellence in leadership, management,
and execution. Strong written and oral communication skills,
demonstrated through previous professional experience and samples of
written deliverables. Collegial, professional and persuasive and possess
effective communication skills. High profile position within the bank -
ability to maintain strong outside community, company-wide and
professional organization relationships. Excellent problem solving
skills. Thorough, investigative and detail-oriented nature required.
Supervision of exempt level staff. Minimal travel required.
