Sr. Multi-Disciplined Engineer I
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide professional support to multiple Engineering Project
Managers in tasks that include:
- Interacting with cross functional teams for initial preparation
and ongoing maintenance of individual project plans that include cost,
schedules, resource allocations, and budgeting
- Cross coordination of all concurrent project plans for Business
level project visibility and tracking
- Initial preparation and ongoing maintenance of project work
break-down structures
- Identification of critical path tasks and project execution
risks
- Generation of project status reports and presentations
- Coordination of project plan review meetings
- Develop and implement mechanisms for monitoring project
progress, and identifying and resolving project execution issues.
- Recommending and implementing project planning process
improvements
- Provide support as needed during project proposal generation
- Provide support as needed for project and Engineering Team
recruitment activities
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum BS degree in a technical or scientific discipline, or
equivalent applicable experience
- 4 years experience facilitating execution of multi-disciplined,
technical product development projects
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Project or other similar project
management tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint .
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MS degree in a technical or scientific discipline
2 to 5 years experience designing electro-mechanical systems, or
application specific, complex software programs
Excellent understanding of project planning and tracking
methodologies
Experience with Earned Value Management system methodology
- Microsoft Certified Professional
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
Experience creating and delivering presentations
Experience with database management tools (FileMaker and/or
Microsoft Access)
Attention to detail and ability work independently toward timely
completion of a variety of assignments
Flexibility in handling a challenging, multi-tasking workload
Excellent organizational and communications skills (verbal and
written)
